Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Apparate Pty Ltd (ABN 47 686 157 559) (“Userless”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, buy our products, or interact with our advertising. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and — where they apply — the EU/UK GDPR for visitors in those regions.
The short version: we collect the minimum we need to deliver what you bought and to run our marketing. We never sell your personal information. We use cookies and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure and target ads — you can opt out at any time (see “Cookies & advertising” below).
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Information you give us — your name, email address and any details you enter into forms, opt-ins or support requests.
- Purchase information — records of what you bought and when. Card and payment details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card details on our systems.
- Technical & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time on page, and similar analytics collected automatically via cookies and tracking technologies.
- Marketing data — how you found us (including advertising campaign identifiers/UTMs), and your interactions with our ads and emails.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you (when you fill in a form, buy a product, or contact us), automatically as you use our website (via cookies and pixels), and from third parties such as advertising and analytics platforms (for example Meta) and our payment processor.
3. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- deliver the products, downloads and access you purchase;
- process payments and provide receipts and support;
- send you the emails you’ve asked for and, where permitted, marketing communications you can opt out of at any time;
- measure, operate, secure and improve our website and offers;
- run, measure and optimise advertising (including on Meta) and reduce ad fraud; and
- comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to deliver your purchase), your consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies), and our legitimate interests (to run and improve our business and advertising).
4. Cookies & advertising technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (including pixels and local storage) to make the site work, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and deliver and measure advertising. Some are essential; others (analytics and advertising) are optional and used with your consent where required.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and can opt out of interest-based advertising through tools such as Your Online Choices and the DAA opt-out. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
5. Meta / Facebook advertising
We advertise primarily on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and use the Meta Pixel and related tools on our website. These tools may collect information about your device and your actions on our site (such as page views and purchases) and share it with Meta so we can measure our ads, build audiences, and show relevant ads to you and people like you. This may include creating “Custom Audiences” using a hashed version of your email address.
Meta processes this data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. You can manage how Meta uses your data for ads in your Facebook/Instagram ad settings. To opt out of our advertising cookies, adjust your cookie/browser settings or use the opt-out tools listed above.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, under agreements that require them to protect it, including:
- payment processors (to take payment and handle refunds);
- email/marketing and CRM providers (to deliver products and communications);
- website hosting, delivery and analytics providers;
- advertising platforms such as Meta (to run and measure ads); and
- professional advisers, or authorities where required or permitted by law.
7. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers are located, or store data, outside Australia (for example in the United States and the European Union). Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
8. Storage & security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.
9. Your rights & choices
Subject to law, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first. If the GDPR applies to you, you also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
10. Marketing & unsubscribing
We only send commercial electronic messages consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and we action opt-outs promptly. You can also email us to be removed from all marketing.
11. Children
Our website and products are intended for adults (18+) and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of the site means you accept the updated policy.
